Lord, who may dwell in your sacred tent? Who may live on your holy mountain? The one whose walk is blameless, who does what is righteous, who speaks the truth from their heart; whose tongue utters no slander, who does no wrong to a neighbor, and casts no slur on others; who despises a vile person but honors those who fear the Lord; who keeps an oath even when it hurts, and does not change their mind; who lends money to the poor without interest; who does not accept a bribe against the innocent. Whoever does these things will never be shaken.
Psalm 15:1-5
We live in a culture that approves of ungodly values and behaviors. Because God understands our struggle to resist temptation and choose righteousness, He has sent His Holy Spirit to teach us to live with integrity. Ask Him to help you become more like the person in Psalm 15.
To develop and maintain a lifestyle of integrity we need to do the following:
· Formulate beliefs on the basis of Scripture
· Submit to Christ’s lordship
· Build relationships with individuals who value godly living
· Acknowledge our mistakes
Application
When we struggle to make the right choice, ask God to help you resist temptation and choose righteousness.
Prayer
God, teach me to live a life of integrity.
