“Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God.”
Romans 15:7
Look at the person sitting or standing next to you. Are they “like” you, or are they different? Do you pass judgment, or do you accept them as they are?
“God accepts us, despite our messy lives, impure motives, and irritating attitudes. One of the ways we reflect God’s love and bring him glory is to accept each other just as He accepts us. This means we accept others’ quirks and look past their faults in order to see a person created in the image of God,” according to Rick Warren.
Family and friends are how we connect. Many of our friendships are built at work, since that is where we spend the majority of our time each day. We are born into family.
Application
Are you accepting of those around you, quirks and all?
Prayer
Help me to be more accepting and embrace the differences of others, so that we may all bring praise to God.
