God said, “I will never leave you or abandon you.”
Hebrews 13:5
The popular Christmas song by Andy Williams, “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year,” will be played numerous times during the holiday season. The season is known for being magical. Is it all the bright lights and decorations that make this time of the year so special? Or is it our desire to do goodwill and give back in some small, yet meaningful way?
Christmas is special because God came in the form of a child, became flesh, like us. For Christians, it’s a gift that extends beyond the Christmas season. It’s a gift that sustains us daily. We know God is with us forever and will not leave or forsake us.
Application
During this busy time of year, don’t let the true meaning of “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year,” slip past you. Share the Christmas story. Who knows; the co-worker next to you may be hearing it for the first time.
Prayer
Thank you, Father, for your promise of forever.
