The Lord hates cheating, but He delights in honesty.
Proverbs 11:1
Being cheated makes you feel angry. Someone has either taken something from you or shorted you in some way. Maybe it was a harmless move on a board game. No big deal, right? Bottom line, you or another person playing the game may have been robbed of the affirmation of victory.
An honest person wants to give full measure in return for anything he takes. Someone who cheats is either a dishonest person who admits it and who takes pride in his or her deceit, or a fraud who speaks truth while deceiving others. Neither kind of person can be trusted. An honest person, however, wants to give full measure in return for anything he takes.
Application
Reflect on how you play the game.
Prayer
God may I honor you in all I do by being truthful, fair, and honest.
