“Gifts”

In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: “It is more blessed to give than to receive.”

Acts 20:35

We all love to get a gift. The idea of giving an unexpected gift of service to someone is to demonstrate Christ-like love and service. Think about the last time your received an unexpected gift. Maybe your spouse gave you a back rub or maybe a co-worker pitched when you were way behind. How did it make you feel?
Christmas is about giving and loving. Jesus demonstrated giving to all types of people the wealthy, the poor, children, and adults. His word says, “it is more blessed to give than to receive.”
Application
As the holiday season kicks off consider giving an unexpected gift to a member of your family or your work family.

Prayer
Father, prompt my heart to give a personal and meaningful unexpected gift this season.
