“As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today.”
Genesis 50:20
Joseph was the beloved son. He didn’t choose to be born, nor did he choose to be his father’s favored son. I’m sure you have felt both what Joseph felt and what his brothers felt, whether in your family or workplace, or both. Can you imagine being sold by your siblings or by your co-workers for what amounts to about $1.28 in U.S. currency today?
My how the tables turned, Joseph found himself in a position of power years later and could have easily given to his brothers what he had received. Instead, Joseph took the high road. He choose to see what some thought as evil against him as a blessing from God.
Take a look at the current situations in your life. Do you need to let down walls of fear and trust God for the greater good? When someone seems to project evil on you, take the high road, You will win, every time.
Application
What was meant for evil in your life, God wants to use for your good.
Prayer
God, help me to trust you when I feel that the situation is evil. May your divine plan prevail.
