“Faithfulness”

The Lord your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing.

Zephaniah 3:17

 

For over 30 years our church youth choir has taken an annual week-long choir tour. The commitment and faithfulness that the church has made to the youth of our church is amazing. It comes from across the church, not just the paid staff, but also from adults who volunteer their time and invest in the lives of the teenagers, senior adults who support through fundraisers, and kids who anticipate their turn in the youth group.

On a recent choir tour the song, “Mighty to Save,” was a selection in their worship music. The song had an impact on me as an adult counselor reminding me who is faithful to me, unfailing, and has the power to do mighty things. I have been blessed to give back to our church, through working with the youth as a parent volunteer.
