“Pursued”

Since you are precious in My sight, Since you are honored and I love you, I will give other men in your place and other peoples in exchange for your life.

Isaiah 43:4

 

Women love movies where the hero gives everything to get the girl. And the Hallmark channel has most women glued during February and December with Valentine’s Day and Christmas movies. No matter how many times we’ve seen the movie, we will watch it over and over again, heart pounding and on the edge of our seat with a box of tissue in our lap.

Like the one rescued in the movies, we too want to be desired, fought for—pursued. And we are.

The King is pursuing us, and it’s so much better than the movie! He gave up His life and paid a great price to rescue us. His love is radical! It’s hard to believe he gave everything up for me!...and you!

If you are feeling empty and unloved, turn to Isaiah 43. His love is deep for you. Let Him fill your wanting heart.
