And if you give even a cup of cold water to one of the least of my followers, you will surely be rewarded.
Matthew 10:42
My grandmother lived on a farm. Not far from her house was a pond. I tried to learn to sip a rock over the water. I wasn’t too successful; my brother was much better. My rocks usually just plopped in. Whether a large slash or several skips, the rocks caused a ripple in the water.
Webster defines ripple “as to pass or spread through or over (someone or something)”. Have you ever stopped to consider what type of ripple you are making at work? Are you creating a big splash, or are you skimming the top of the water? Maybe your big slash is you finally finished a large project. Maybe the skimming of the water is a kind word to everyone you encounter for the day. Either way, we create ripples.
Application
Make an effort to make your ripples count; make a difference.
Prayer
May I spread God’s love in all I do.
