“Trustworthy”

The works of his hands are faithful and just; all his precepts are trustworthy.
 Psalm 111:7

Did you know the root word in Latin for integrity is integer? Other words that share the same root include entire and integrate. Integrity is the quality or condition of being whole, complete, undivided. According to Joseph B. Wirthlin, “Integrity means always doing what is right and good, regardless of the immediate consequences. It means being righteous from the very depth of our soul, not only in our actions but even more importantly, in our thoughts and in our hearts. Personal integrity implies such trustworthiness and incorruptibility that we are incapable of being false to a trust or covenant”

How trustworthy are you? Do your coworkers look to you with trust and complete confidence that the job will be done and done right? What about a closer circle, your family and friends? Do they deem you trustworthy?

Application
Look inside yourself today. Are do you have integrity? Are you considered trustworthy?

Prayer
May I strive to be more like you, Father, and be trustworthy in all situations, especially when only you are looking.
