“Forgiveness”

While we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son.

Romans 5:10

The glass slipped and the sweet tea went all over the counter and the floor. The child felt like she had completely messed up and was so upset, she began to cry. I assured her, it was an accident. Accidents happen; this can be cleaned up. Wiping her tears, she began to help clean up.

Have you ever made a mistake at work? Maybe you mislabeled something, or forgot a step in the final process. How did your coworkers respond? How did the supervisor respond? How did you respond? We all make mistakes. That’s how we learn. It’s how we handle the mistake and the aftermath that shows our character.

Think about how God must feel when we sin. It’s up to us to ask for forgiveness and make the effort to restore our relationship with Him.

Observe how you respond to a mistake at work. Is it Christ like?

May I embrace and give forgiveness as you do, Father. And may I learn from it.
