“What’s Your Tone?”

“Their work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each person’s work.”

Webster gives three definitions for quality: 1) how good or bad something is; 2) a characteristic or feature that someone or something has—something that can be noticed as a part of a person or thing; 3) a high level of value or excellence.

It’s much easier to notice the tone others set by how well or poor they perform. In our human nature we easily point out to a co-worker or sibling the less than desirable nature of those around us. How often do you look in the mirror? Stop and notice the tone you set. Negative breeds negative; positive breeds positive.

Before you complain about your neighbor, look within. You can ask no more of others than you do of yourself.

Application

What is the quality of your tone today? Everyday?

Prayer

May I begin today learning and growing today, so that I will be of better quality.
