If God has given you leadership ability, take the responsibility seriously.”
Romans 12:8b
President Dwight D. Eisenhower said, “You do not lead by hitting people over the head—that’s assault, not leadership. How many times have you kept repeating yourself to drive your point across? I have been hammered with another person’s point of view, so much so that he said “You’re not listening me!” With my reply being, “So if I don’t change my way of thinking to your way, you think I’m not listening?” According to John Maxwell, “If you keep repeating yourself after your point’s been made, you’re just trying to get your own way.”
It’s our responsibility to communicate in all situations. But once you’ve practiced due diligence in a situation, let it go. It’s up to others to take action, or not, with what you’ve shared.
Application
Be clear and concise. Share in love, and the rest will take care of itself.
Prayer
Father may I develop the leadership trait of using my one mouth and my two ears to show your love.
