“Instructions”

Thus says the Lord, “Stand by the ways and see and ask for the ancient paths, Where the good way is, and walk in it; And you shall find rest for your souls. But they said, ‘We will not walk in it.’”

Jeremiah 6:16

 

Have you ever bought an electrical device that didn’t come with an instruction manual? It may be a new cell phone, an iPod, a laptop, or even a blender, but there is always written instructions. Not only does the manual tell you how to operate the new device, it usually gives troubleshooting tips, too. But do we take time to read them?

I often hear people say, “I wish life came with instructions.” What we fail to see is that it does. We have an instruction manual; it’s called the Bible. If we will study and follow the instructions, we can learn where the good path is and a quality that is grade “A”.

When struggling to find the right directions, seek scripture to find your way. The product outcome will not disappoint you.

Prayer

God, grant me the wisdom to see and hear your words of instruction and the courage and confidence to act on Your will.
