“21 Days”

Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up.

Luke 18:1

 

If you do something for 21 days, it becomes a habit. There was a time in my life where a family member was being influenced by peers in an unhealthy way. I was challenged to pray for that family member and the peers for 21 days. My prayer went something like this, “God, I pray for Michael and his roguey friends.” By the end of the three weeks, I was amazed at how I had let the affairs of others not control me and how the circle of friends began to dissipate.

 

Do you have the kind of faith and persistence that will not give up? God is willing to answer, help, restore, vindicate, and redeem. We must have faith.

 

Think of a woodpecker. He is undeterred. His persistence keeps him going. The next time you want to give up, go to God for 21 days.
