“Wings”

He will shelter you with his wings; you will find safety under his wings. His faithfulness is like a shield or a protective wall.

Psalm 91:4

Have you ever watched a mother bird shelter her young during a rain storm? She settles over her young and as the rain begins to come down, she stands and spreads her wings to make an umbrella. No matter how hard or long the rain comes, she doesn’t move. She is committed to protecting her babies.

 

God provides that same shelter for us. Life’s trails are sometimes a sprinkle and other times a down pour. Regardless of the intensity of the storm, God is faithful. Sometimes we don’t realize God’s protective shelter from the storm, until it has passed. Other times we are very aware of God’s comfort in the storm.

 

Application

Look for God’s sheltering wings the next time life sends a storm.
