Is the glass half-full or half-empty? In my quiet time, I often reflect on the day ahead. What is waiting on me when I get to work and what is waiting for me at the end of the day at home? Are the two commitments in my life full of happy, excited things I’m looking forward to, or do I dread heading into each part of my day? The choice is mine.
Each day brings as much heartache and headaches, as it does joy and wonder. It’s all in my perspective of the day ahead. I could let myself be bitter that the dog is off the leash and at the back door, again, or my co-worker forgets to put up the boxes before she left the night before, like she promised. Or I can face each day with a positive, pleasant attitude.
Application
Uplift someone today, who is not expecting it. You will be surprised at how much is lifts your spirits.
Prayer
Father, thank you for all my blessings, even when they are disguised as obstacles. May my daily choices be ones of a positive perspective.
