Jesus said, “Consider how the lilies grow. They do not labor or spin…..If that is how God clothes the grass of the field,…how much more will he clothe you?”
Luke 12:27-28
My 85-year-old father sits and waits patiently anytime my 78-year-old mother leaves for an errand. He sits in his chair, in his room. Sometimes in the quiet, sometimes with the radio, or sometimes with the TV, but patiently he waits. He never complains and is always pleased when she returns.
She is his care taker. Ever mindful of his needs and seeing to it that he is comfortable and well taken care of. She writes down his medicine, labels everything, and if going to the doctor she takes her most accurate notebook.
Just like God cares for us, my mother shows my father unconditional love and care. And my father accepts her love with grace. It’s a beautiful relationship to watch.
Application
Treat others like God treats you.
Prayer
God, your grace comes in many forms. May I recognize and accept it in love.
