The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
Lamentations 3:22-23
Things that I cannot control, I tend to worry more and worrying does absolutely no good. I remember when my father was in the hospital; there was nothing I could do for him. Then there was the time at work when a big shipment was scheduled to arrive and didn’t. Again, the circumstance was beyond my control. The Bible tells us not to worry, but to cast our cares on Him (1 Peter 5:7).
Think about the Lord’s Prayer. It says to “give us this day our daily bread” not “don’t let me run out bread or give me enough to hoard.” Try not to let the situations you can’t control, control you. Do your best lean on God. The next time a situation arises at work seek and trust God to carry you through. Make your commitment to Him and your “daily bread” in all situations will be provided.
Application
How great is your faithfulness in every situation?
Prayer
Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. (Matthew 6:9-13)
