“Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.”
1 Corinthians 13:7
Studies show that the younger you are when you first experience rejection, the more serious the implications on your life. The curse starts at a young age when someone says to you, “You’re not going to amount to anything.” Now fast forward 20 years. You are in your first real job. You already have a subconscious curse of low self-esteem. The first unkind word, or corrective criticism can throw you deeper into the curse.
Matthew 17:20 says that if you have the faith of a mustard seed you can move a mountain. Start from there. Stop believing the lie and start having faith. Share that faith in love towards others by giving kind words and being helpful to those around you. Your first step might be something as simple as holding the door for someone.
Application
What are some ways you can express to others that you believe in them? By believing in others, you begin to believe in yourself.
Prayer
May I reach my potential and overcome my insecurities by reaching out to others and showing Christ’s love.
