“Victory”

Remember that in a race everyone runs, but only one person gets the prize. You also must run in such a way that you will win.

1 Corinthians 9:24

 

 

 

I’ve watched my kids in many football, baseball, and soccer practices. Athletes must make a commitment and training for not only the season of the sport, but train for each game with the goal of winning. The quality of the team is in the discipline of the athletes.

 

Our work and lives are much like an athlete. There are daily temptations, issues, and victories. We have to discipline ourselves in order to face each circumstance.

Application

Look at your life. Are you vigorously participating or are you barely keeping pace? What is the quality of your discipline in all areas of your life?

Prayer

Father, May I not be a spectator, but an athlete in life and honor you in all I say and do. May I win the prize in order to bring you honor.
