“Unity”

God said, “I will never leave you or abandon you.”

1 Corinthians 12:14-20

The idea of a baseball team built around nine pitchers, or a high school band with just tubas, or a body made of just eyes is ridiculous. Yet, that is what many build their business around. Managers want employees “like them.” However, what most don’t recognize is that it takes diversity to make unity.

Unity doesn’t mean uniformity, but rather diversity that comes together to make success. If all your co-workers were like you, there would be no originality, no growth. It takes differences of opinions, new ways of doing a job for there to be growth.

Application

How might you contribute to the team at work with your unique gifts and abilities?

Prayer

May I not box myself in, but grow in Christ and surround myself people different from me.
